Wikipedia has banned all users from using AI-generated text to write or update articles

Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia that allows anyone to edit its articles. Volunteers write the articles for Wikipedia. It is one of the most visited websites in the world. Wikipedia has recently implemented a new rule regarding artificial intelligence.
Wikipedia editors cannot use artificial intelligence like ChatGPT to write new articles or change existing articles.
There are two exceptions to this rule. Editors may use artificial intelligence to check spelling in their articles.
They may also use artificial intelligence to translate articles.
Wikipedia editors discussed this rule for a long time. They are concerned about the quality of information that is shared and published by AI applications. By banning artificial intelligence for creating and editing articles, Wikipedia will be able to avoid publishing content that may damage the reputation of its platform. Many people support this rule to protect the reputation of Wikipedia.
OpenAI has cancelled plans to release a romantic "adult mode" for ChatGPT

OpenAI had plans to add a mode to the chatbot that would allow for romantic or sexual conversations between the users and the AI.
The features that would have allowed for sexual conversations between the human and the AI would have included:
• The ability for the AI to have erotic chats with the users.
• The AI would treat the users as adults and allow for more open and honest conversations.
• However, OpenAI has cancelled these plans for now.
OpenAI said they would cancel these features due to safety concerns. Some of the employees and investors of OpenAI are concerned that adding this feature could be harmful to society and cause mental health problems for individuals. OpenAI would like to instead focus on creating an AI that is smarter and has better features for those that use the chatbot regularly. They do believe that adults should have the freedom to have sexual conversations with the AI but until it is ready for such a purpose it will be excluded from the features that are offered to the users.
