Fitness Influencer Dies After Eating 10,000 Calories a Day to Gain Weight and Prove How Quickly He Could Lose
What happened?
Dmitry Nuyanzin planned extreme weight gain stunt.
Consumed 10,000 calories daily of junk food.
Died from cardiac arrest during challenge.

Dmitry Huynsien (30), an Orenburg-based Russian fitness coach, creatively marketed the weight-loss program he'd developed by setting up this daring challenge, which culminated in gaining 25 kg within one month by consuming 10,000 calories worth of junk food, including pizza, hamburger, cake, pastry, chips, and fried dumplings drenched in mayonnaise each day. He continued to show his followers how he was doing so well; thus, when he reached 105 kg within 30 days of setting out to accomplish the challenge (starting from 92 kg), I thought it was a great opportunity for people over 100 kg to see if they could also lose 10% of their body weight before the end of the new year.
He offered $100.00 for every individual over 100 kg who managed to lose 10% of their weight by the end of New Year using Huynsien's routine. Unfortunately, on the day of his funeral in Orenburg, Dmitry Huynsien died while sleeping (likely due to a cardiac arrest), and just prior to that, he had canceled all his training sessions, expressed illness, and had plans to visit a medical facility. Professional trainers believe that consuming an extreme amount of calories from unhealthy fats, sodium, and sugar would result in excessive stress to his body and heart. Dmitry Huynsien was mourned by all of his colleagues and friends as an inspiring and positive person; however, his death raises a major concern about the extreme fitness trends popularised by social media.

Chicago man intentionally set his family’s home on fire after Thanksgiving argument with relatives got out of hand, police say
What happened?
Erik Crump argued with family on Thanksgiving.
Family planned to evict him from home.
He returned and set bedroom on fire.

Erik J. Crump, a 21-year-old from Beach Park near Chicago, got into a heated argument with relatives at their home on Thanksgiving evening. The fight started around 7:30 p.m. over family issues. Deputies arrived to calm things down but left after de-escalating. During the dispute, Crump learned his family wanted to kick him out. Upset, he left the house but soon returned to his bedroom near the garage. Police say he used an accelerant to start a fire there, then fled. About an hour later, family members saw smoke filling the home and evacuated safely. No one was hurt, but the house suffered major damage. A man matching Crump's description was spotted nearby with a knife. Police dogs tracked him to a dead-end, suggesting he drove away. Officers found him at a local storage facility and arrested him. He faces charges of aggravated arson and residential arson. Sheriff John D. Idleburg called it a senseless act and thanked responders for preventing injuries during the holiday.

Heartless son allegedly beat his parents, set house on fire - then left them for dead as they begged him to help
What happened?
Darius Hazard assaulted elderly parents violently.
He poured gasoline and ignited house fire.
Parents died from smoke while pleading help.

Darius Hazard, 44, from North Adams, Massachusetts, faces murder and arson charges after allegedly killing his parents, Venture Hazard, 76, and Donald Hazard, 83. Early on November 24, Hazard helped his mother after she fell in their bedroom due to arthritis and scoliosis. He grew furious at her frailty, shoved both parents to the floor, and beat them with fists and objects like a fan. His father begged him to stop. Hazard then went downstairs, grabbed gasoline from the basement, poured it on the first floor, lit a match, and fled in his car. As he left, he heard them yell "come back" and "help us, we are in trouble." He drove two hours away and tried to stab himself with a knife out of guilt. Neighbors saw smoke four hours later and called emergency services. Firefighters found the couple dead in the living room from smoke inhalation, with burns, bruises, fractures, and cuts. Hazard confessed to police after arrest in a Walmart lot. He had no prior violence but admitted snapping from frustration. He pleaded not guilty and awaits trial on December 29. The community mourns the Hazards as kind pillars.

4 Men Accused of Having 'Satanic' Child Torture Videos Linked to International Ring: 'Ritualistic'
What happened?
Four Sydney men charged in child abuse probe.
Videos show torture with satanic symbols.
International network shared encrypted material.
Four men from Sydney, Australia, were arrested on November 27 and charged with possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material tied to an international ring with satanic and occult themes. The New South Wales Police's Strike Force Constantine uncovered the Sydney-based network after investigating encrypted online forums. The men, aged 26 to 46, included a journalist and former swim coach. They allegedly used an international website to share thousands of videos depicting abuse and torture of children from babies to 12-year-olds, involving ritualistic symbols like Satanism. Devices seized held the horrific content. Police say the group discussed and facilitated the material but did not create it. No victims identified yet; international partners help trace origins. Detective Superintendent Jayne Doherty called it "deplorable" and "devastating," especially the ritual elements. The suspects face charges like using carriage services for abuse material and failing reporting obligations. They remain in custody awaiting court. The probe highlights dangers of dark web networks and aims to protect children globally.

Paralympic gold medalist Gareth Duke, 39, caught by predator hunters after asking 14-year-old ‘girl’ to strip for him
What happened?
Gareth Duke messaged decoy posing as teen.
He requested naked photos and meetup.
Got suspended sentence for sexual communication.

Gareth Duke, a 39-year-old retired British Paralympic swimmer from Cwmbran, Wales, with achondroplasia dwarfism, won gold in Athens 2004 and silver in Beijing 2008 before retiring in 2011 due to kidney issues. On November 28, Newport Crown Court sentenced him to six months in jail, suspended for 18 months, after he admitted attempting sexual communication with a child. Duke thought he was chatting with 14-year-old "Mia" from Portsmouth on social media. It was actually the Child Online Safety Team, a pedophile hunter group. Messages showed him asking her bra size, for school uniform selfies, naked bath photos, to strip on camera, and to meet in Cwmbran for "kiss and cuddle." He said age was "just a number." The group confronted him, alerted police, and he was arrested. With no prior record but complex health needs like dialysis and partial blindness, the judge saw rehabilitation potential. Duke must register as a sex offender for 10 years, follow a seven-year prevention order, do 30-day rehab, and pay a 154-pound surcharge. The judge called it predatory but noted remorse.
